It would help me to help you better had you mentioned your symptoms. To begin with you should take care of yourself by forming a routine. Each day in the morning plan your day in advance. You can choose on very simple basic tasks to begin with. Ones that need your attention and you have been procrastinating. Make a list and strategise around. Do this every day. This is definitely going to be challenging in the beginning but you would come around with practise and efforts. It would help tremendously if you include exercise in your day plan. It calms your excessive thoughts down and lifts your moods. The chemical reactions of exercise in the brain are similar to anti-anxiety and antidepressants. You will be able to achieve this if you take care of healthy intake of food at regular intervals. Avoid addictive substances as they slow you down and disturb your system. Practise breathing slowly inhaling and exhaling for 3 seconds each few times a day. Sleep at the same time everyday and keep away the distractors while you are in your bed. Spend time outdoors in sunlight and close to natural resources. Slowly take up responsibility towards yourself in terms of taking care of your absolute worries and negative thoughts. Start writing them down and find evidence for and against them. This is certainly a tough one but once you decide and begin you will be able to continue. Always carry a writing pad with you. Once you are done tear and the sheets every few days so that you do not keep getting back to them. Talk to your family and friends express your feelings and seek support. Do not be ashamed or guilty. These are illnesses which people commonly support from and all of us need help from people who care at different points of life. Practice accepting yourself with all your strengths and weakness. Do not be hard on yourself or others. Develop a sense of gratitude towards life. Pursue your interests, plan them out, and do not give up. It always helps to be you. Lastly you can book an appointment for counselling as it will help you to manage your thoughts and cope with your feelings.
