hello, a small amount of temporary filling can come off because it takes some time to harden. if there is no pain, visit your dentist and get it checked. you need to get the permanent filling done.

Temporary tooth filling is not as strong as the permanent one, hence the name "temporary" is given to it.Your dentist might have seen a big carious lesion that might be approaching to the nerves of the tooth that is why you were advised to get a temporary filling before a permanent filling. Ask your dentist for an iopa x ray of the tooth & get the treatment as iopa x ray suggests.Deep carious lesions are best resolved by root canal treatment to save the tooth & to save you from pain.
Next Steps
Visit your dentist & show him/her the temporary filling that is coming out automatically. Ask for an iopa xray also.consult me back if you have any doubts. Regards Dr.Sparsh Nigam
