Hello, I had suffered from dengue 3 months back. Normally i have good quantity & quality hair but now I'm losing a lot of hair on a daily basis. I've read that it is due to telogen effluvium phase and it will stop in couple of months. However is there any medicine or supplements which I can take to reduce the hairfall at the earliest coz they are thinning too much. Please suggest.

Telogen effluvium is one of the most common reasons for abnormal hairfall I'm females. It can happen due to long standing fever, stress, vitamin deficiencies, pregnancy, etc.
Usually dengue fever in adults don't last longer and though this may be one if the reasons, ideally we need to do some blood tests to check for other reasons as well( for example vitamin d deficiency is very common).
Once we have figured out all the possible reasons for abnormal hairfall and hair thinning,we can make a proper treatment plan which may take 3-6 months to recover hair completely.

Health Tips
Avoid hot water shower(warm water is fine), hot blow dryers, etc as it can damage hair and makes it rough and frizzy which easily breaks when you comb or pull.
