Hello, There are 2 types of teeth whitening procedure. 1) In office - The one which is only done in dental clinic. 2) At Home - You have to wear whitening trays in mouth  for 1-2 weeks .

Tooth stains can be extrinsic or intrinsic. Extrinsic can be removed by scaling and polishing where as intrinsic stains can be removed by tooth bleaching.
