You need to visit a dentist. In all probability it is a cavity. The dentist will take an x-ray. Depending on the Xray you would either need a filling out a root canal treatment

There can be several causes for tooth pain like cavity, gum problem, trauma, fracture or some other cause. You need to visit a dentist & get x-ray done. X-ray would provide the exact reason & treatment option for the same.
Health Tips
Do not apply any local pain relieving gels or ointment. Also avoid any external heat application to affected area.
