If your mother is experiencing tooth pain despite the medications and toothpaste she has been given, it is important to consult a dentist for a thorough examination and proper diagnosis. The dentist will be able to assess the specific cause of her tooth pain and recommend the most appropriate treatment.
Since your mother is a diabetic person, it is crucial to manage her blood sugar levels effectively. High blood sugar levels can affect the healing process and increase the risk of oral infections. Ensuring good oral hygiene by brushing twice a day, flossing, and using an antibacterial mouthwash can also help maintain oral health.
In addition to the prescribed medications, the dentist may suggest other treatment options such as a dental filling, root canal treatment, or extraction depending on the condition of her teeth. It's important to follow the dentist's advice and complete the recommended treatment to alleviate the pain and address the underlying issue.
Please encourage your mother to maintain regular dental check-ups and inform the dentist about her medical history, including her diabetes. This will help the dentist provide appropriate care and treatment tailored to her specific needs.
