Teeth growing
I had recently recovered from covid with home quarantine and I had only mild symptoms. I did not take any steroids. Now I am getting my wisdom teeth as it starts emerging I am having headache, fever and pain around the lower jaws. Is it normal to get these symptoms while teeth is growing or should I need to give attention. I am using paracetamol tablets to control the headache. Can I continue that?

Usually the third molar brings along some amount of pain when it comes. A picture will help to see if there is any infection over that area in the gum which causes due to food lodgement. Proper oral hygiene will help get rid of that. The gum over that area can be removed for relief by the dentist. Xray to be taken to see the angulation of the emerging molar. If the angulation is right it us fine. If there is enough space it can be just left alone to emerge in there. If not enough space or improper angulation it has to be removed.
Next Steps
For the pain ketorol dt can be taken twice a day for three days with a pan d.
Health Tips
- Brush twice a day after food. - Warm water salt gargling thrice a day after food.

Pain during wisdom tooth eruption is normal also sometimes the gum in that region gets infected which causes more pain. I will need pictures or a video consult to determine if it's only tooth growing pain or infection. If it is infection you will need to start medicine.
Next Steps
video consult on practo or visit dentist to properly diagnose the problem
Health Tips
Meanwhile start betadine gargle mouth rinse. This will reduce any infection in that region that might be causing the pain

Hello, wisdom tooth eruption depends on the position of the tooth in the jaw, if its not straight and has no space for its eruption, it causes severe pain which even might radiate to head, so you need to visit a dentist get an x-ray done and get the treatment done accordingly. For pain relief yes you can take pain killers, but it will give only temporary relief.
Next Steps
visit a dentist
Health Tips
lukewarm salt water gargling 2-3 times a day, will also give you some relief.

Pain due to eruption of third molar is quite normal. Mild to moderate pain should not be a reason to worry but if you observe sweeling in the surrounding gums, redness and other problems such difficulty in speech and eating then you must consult a professional. The most common problem especially in young subjects is pericoronitis, it is when the gum immediately surrounding the tooth gets infected and inflamed. Generally based on the situation you can either get operculectomy (removal of the part of the inflamed gum) or extraction of third molar done by a dentist. It is advisable to maintain oral hygiene this will reduce the likelihood of an infection. Brush twice daily. Floss if possible. Rinse mouth with luke warm saline water and hold it in the affected area for some time, 3-4 times daily.
Next Steps
Get a dental x ray done and seek expert advice from a dentist either online or offline.
Health Tips
Continue over the counter pain medications as and when needed.
