Hi Tanning of skin occurs due to sun exposure. Ask him to protect his skin by wearing protective clothing, cap and good sunscreen before stepping out of house. Using face wash or soap will not reduce existing tan but avoid harsh soaps or face washes. Dove soap is relatively gentle. Consult a dermatologist for treatment of tanning.
