It's great that you have taken steps to control your cholesterol levels through diet and exercise, but it's concerning that you're experiencing joint pain. It's difficult to determine the exact cause of your joint pain without a physical examination and further testing, but there are several potential causes to consider. One possibility is that your joint pain may be due to overuse injuries from your increased activity level. Another possibility is that it could be due to inflammation caused by high levels of cholesterol in your bloodstream, as elevated cholesterol levels have been associated with increased inflammation and joint pain. Reduced synovial fluid levels can also lead to joint pain, as synovial fluid is responsible for lubricating and cushioning the joints. However, reduced synovial fluid levels are typically associated with more advanced stages of osteoarthritis. It's important to see a doctor or specialist to determine the exact cause of your joint pain and develop an appropriate treatment plan. In the meantime, you can try low-impact exercises such as swimming or cycling, as well as applying heat or ice to the affected joint to help alleviate symptoms. Additionally, maintaining a healthy weight and taking joint supplements such as glucosamine and chondroitin may also be helpful.
