My ankle bone is very swollen and hurts only when I run. It has been going on for about a week. I also do basketball so I don't know if that caused it. Do you think it's serious enough for an actual doctor?

Probably during playing you got stress on ankle... Just keep your ankle elevated using pillow while lying down.. also do iceing over painful area for 10 min twice a day... You need to give your ankle ,rest for sometime so avoid running
