Swelling of gum
Someone told me to take ciplox 250 for such swelling... I took one dose but as its antibiotic ... I have to continue it? Even when there is no swelling?

Hello, we should not start antibiotics or anyother medicine if doctor has not prescribed .Now reply to your question , IF THERE IS NO SWELLING NOW , DONT TAKE MEDICINE AS WE DONT KNOW TYPE OF SWELLING , REASON OF SWELLING ....IT WAS SWOLLEN GUMS BECAUSE OF GINGIVITIS, PERIAPICAL ABSCESS OR PERIODONTAL ABSCESS ....SO AS YOU DONT HAVE ANY PROBLEM STOP MEDICINE AND SHOW TO A DENTIST

ideally one should complete course of antibiotic , 3 days or 5 days as given by doc ....so avoid self medication as you might be allergic to some medicines and it can be harmful for you
