Hi this is Dr Hitin Mathur, Orthopaedic surgeon from Fortis C Doc Hospital, New Delhi. Welcome to Practo. Looking at the photograph of your right foot and ankle, it seems that you may have and inflammation in one of the tendons of the foot and ankle called posterior tibial tendon. The tendon may either be inflamed or it may be torn due to degenerative changes. Degenerative tear of this tendon causes the development of a flat foot. This will cause pain over the inner aspect of the ankle and inner arch of the foot. Development of rheumatoid arthritis are raised uric acid can also cause pain and swelling around the ankle. Thus I would advise you to get the following blood test fasting: calcium, Phosphorus, Alkaline phosphatase, Vitamin D, uric acid, anti CCP, HB, TLC, DLC, ESR along with weight bearing X rays of right ankle AP and lateral views and right foot AP, lateral and oblique views. Revert back with investigations reports.

Hello, local swelling is there, you must consult orthopedic doctor and get an x Ray because no mild injury stay for five months ,it will heal in a week or two.it could be osteomyelitis or arthritis with joint effusion.Only after examination and x Ray one can diagnose the problem . Meet orthopedic doctor in nearest hospital.
