Swelling in wisdom tooth area
Hello doctor. Since yesterday there is swelling in my wisdom tooth area ( left side downward). It is also paining and I am unable to chew anything from both the sides because of the swelling and pain. Please suggest the treatment. FYI- I am also on migraine medication ( topaz 25 mg tryptomer 10 mg remylin D and stugeron)

Hello , Yes! It wisdom  tooth infection . You dentist will take x - ray  to see its postion completely impacted or partially erupted . You badly need to do minor surgical  extration of your wisdom  tooth followed by Medication and topical care  to avoid pain , swelling and spread of infection . Prior to the procedure your dentist will try to reduce  swelling and pain with medication . During that medication  course go for wisdom tooth extration as per your dentist guideline .

For time being do warm saline / warm salt water rinses . thrice daily ..

Keep the area clean. Use mouthwash. Apply ice from outside if swelling is present.
