Swelling in prostate, creatinine 170
I am on medication for proost
ate swelling since april, for increased creatinine since april, marginally high chelistral since april.
Sugar post lunch detected in Nov 17 and on mmedicine.
Creatinine has increased from 140 in Aprilto a150 in November and now to 170.
Please advise, what are the dangers of high creatinine and why medicines are not working as desired.

The raised creatinine could be due to various reasons. check a Ultrasound examination of the Abdomen and pelvis to look for Renal echogenicity and to rule out any swelling in the kidneys. check a post void residual urine assessment also. If there is swelling seen secondarily to bladder outflow obstruction, then the tablets that you are taking may not prevent Renal failure. Surgery for the prostate will be required. If there is no swelling and if Renal echogenicity is increased, you may need to consult a nephrologist immediately. In your case it's seems like you have Renal parenchymal problem due to diabetes, You are progressing to early Renal failure.
