Swelling in middle finger
A ball hit directly on my middle finger while playing cricket.there is swelling and a little pain.i can move the finger up and down though. First picture is swollen finger and next picture is of Normal finger. It is difficult to bend from the bottom joint in finger.

Firstly you go and take X-ray  . After that you apply finger Immobilizer

Do icing 4-5 times per day for 10 minutes each time. Splint it gently with other finger to avoid movement. Give rest to that hand.

Use ice on ur finger twice a day. After reducing swelling u can start little movement of finger

There may be chance of ligament injury/fracture. pls do an X-ray. Apply ice twice a day, use finger support.
Next Steps
if X-ray shows no finding, then do active finger movt after a week along with contrast bath. use support for 3weeks atleast.

Hi.., no need to worry.. Take contrast bath.. 3 minutes in warm water n 1 minute in cold water, like that 3-4 cycles and do this 2-3 times a day.. Also keep doing gentle movements of finger..

If there is swelling and pain in moving finger, then go for X ray, if there is a fracture go to orthopaedics and if there is no fracture, then visit a physiotherapist
