I have a swelling in the underside of my left foot. The x-ray and MRI appear normal as per the orthopaedic Dr. The Orthopaedic gave my anti inflammatory for a month but nothing changes. Could this some problem with the nerves under my foot? Should I consult a nuerologist?

Greetings,
Sorry about your swelling. Going by your description there is no sensation disturbance, hence consultation with a neurologist is of no use. Swelling should be a issues related to ligament /muscles imbalance.
Next Steps
consultation with a physiotherapist will solve the issue.
Health Tips
what a physio normally do is apply tape, trigger point therapy and exercise to strengthen ankle/foot muscles. lab tests to confirm why you got swelling will give you a better idea as to why you got swelling in the first place.

Hello, firstly it's good that you have had the X-ray and MR- correct investigations and reassuring. Is the pain and swelling on the heel/middle of foot or forefoot? Are you overweight?
If it's tender at the back & inner aspect of heel with discomfort along the entire base of foot, this could mean plantar fasciitis. Treatment is usually conservative with activity modification, plantar fascia stretch exercises and anti inflammatories with hot water soak to relax fascia. This is a common problem and resolves in about 2-3 months.
