Swelling in feet
My aunt has swelling in her feet from last 1.5 year. Her feet have become double diameter after swelling and the swelling is permanent from last 1.5 years I believe. This condition is also very painful and she needs to take pain killers daily in order to go through the day. She does not have diabetes if you are thinking about it. What could be the problem? Doctors here in my town are unable to find the root cause.

Is there any associated symptoms like shortness of breath, swelling around eyes, decreased urine output, fever,  etc. Swelling may be due to renal disease, liver disease, heart disease, drug induced and many more. Proper investigations should be done.

Hello There. I can understand your concern. I'm pretty sure you have not consulted a doctor and are just saying that no one is able to find the cause. its not difficult to find the cause. take her to a MD consultant physician or a general surgeon . he will evaluate her completely and order a few tests, get those done and he will be able to tell the cause. Heart diseases, Blood pressure, Kidney disorders, Thyroid and other hormonal disorders, DVT, Cellulitis etc are a few causes for such issue. Best regards, Dr. Anil kumar jain.
