Swallowed chicken bone with flesh
On 31st Jan, At the marriage ceremony I accidentally swallowed a chicken bone with flesh. I feel the bone when swallowed. From yesterday evening I am having  gas problems like gas coming out from my mouth. Mild pain in the stomach but when gas comes out from the stomach I feel relieved. No other symptoms. Should I go for x-ray? Will chicken bone dissolve? Or cause any complications? And how many days it needs to cause any complications? How do I know if the bone is dissolved or not ?

The potential of damage from swallowing a a large foreign body like a bone depends upon the nature of the objects, i.e. its size, shape and configuration. In most instances, most ingested objects that reach the stomach without any damage (i.e. you’re not choking), something like a chicken bone will pass through without any complications. Although it is thankfully extremely rare for any serious problems to occur, this doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen on occasion. Therefore, if you feel any abdominable tenderness/pain, or a sudden bout of vomiting/nausea and fever over the next few days, it may be necessary to get an x-ray and CT scan. Again, though, this is very rare, so don’t get too frightened.

Patient's detailed medical history is required. It is recommended to consult a doctor professional through the Practo app or visit a local medical facility for a thorough evaluation. Please keep in mind that detailed medical history is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Won't be a very big complication. But better to go to a hospital and check for any internal injuries.
