At the age of 43 and perimenopause years which is better approach to take calcium + vitamin d in a separate supplement or a comprehensive multivitamin tablet including these two also to cater the nutritional need when absorption from food isn't so good. most good multivitamin have 150 mg calcium and 600 IU vitd a day ..is it sufficient?

Hi, In an ideal scenario a combination drug would be ideal. However since your requirements are high. You could consider having 500 mg Calcium Citrate, Malate. after breakfast daily, and Vitamin D supplement either with milk or curd as advised by your doctor. Also Calcium and vitamin D rich foods are Milk, Curd, Paneer, Egg, etc.
