Does sugar levels increase in case of bone fracture. My brother is having fluctuating sugar levels after having fracture in his leg.

no, if any steroids added then sugars may go high. If any family history of diabetes, then chances to get diabetes. check HbA1c.

Infections (bacterial products) may increase insulin resistance and may raise sugars. commonly seen in patients with infected wounds. Any stress conditions (physical or mental) lead to increase in stress hormones and lead to hyperglycemia. Fracture is physical stress condition
