Mr.Practo user,its indicating that ur wife's sugar levels r on higher side...for which she needs to take lot of care regarding food wise,medicines,regular exercises all will help to maintain to b normal in levels.Of she neglects in any of one aspect also will harm her.So,take care in that aspect with proper diet menu ,Medicines intake&exercises.
Abt ir 2nd question,Sugar is not contageous,u dont get it by touch,its purely due to metabolic disturbances which causes pancreatic dysfunctioning.
But it has more chances for genetic transfer means,if anybody in family have Diabetes,then there are chances more for their next generations.so take care.
