If you are suffering from any anxiety or stress it can cause these symptoms. But, if it is recurring very frequently then it will be better to get a 24 hour Holter monitoring and a regular BP monitoring.

I am Dr Shamoon. Waking suddenly with a racing heart can be related to anxiety, reflux, sleep-disordered breathing or an abnormal rhythm; it should not be diagnosed from symptoms alone. The pulse rate and how long the episode lasts are important.
Next Steps
Check and record your pulse during an episode, avoid caffeine and nicotine late in the day, and arrange a physician review; a Holter monitor or sleep assessment may be needed if it continues. Seek urgent care for chest pain, fainting, severe breathlessness or a sustained very fast/irregular pulse. Practo consultation is a suitable next step.
