Hi,
I was taking alprazolam 0.25 in the night with dothipin 50mg from last one year. I have reduced dose, I started taking half of the 0.25 alprazolam and now from last one month I'm just taking a quarter of 0.25 in the night as suggested by my doctor so that I can completely stop this tab in future. The goal of my doctor is to completely take me out from these tablets.I was fine for a week, but after that I'm experiencing anxiety rebound symptoms. symptoms are tolerable but
I am worried because of these symptoms. Please let me know if these rebound symptoms are withdrawal symptoms. If these are withdrawal symptoms how many days it takes to settle.? My medical history: The anxiety treatment is going on from last 2 years. My initial dose was half a tab of clonazepam 0.5mg morning and one tab of clonazepam 0.5mg in the night with dothipin.Reduced dose every 3-4 months and came to clonazepam 0.25 in the night.then I was switched to alprazolam 0.25 only in the night. Now the goal is to stop.

It seems exaggeration of your anxiety symptoms after reduction of drug dose. As the symptoms are tolerable you can continue same dose for next 3 days if no reduction seen in symptoms then dose should be revised with consultation.
These are not withdrawal symptoms but relapse of your anxiety symptoms. Since the neurotransmitter deregulation in your mind returns after the medicines are stopped the symptoms have recurred. For this a person needs to take the medication for longer periods. Good luck
