Stapedectomy
I have gone through stapedectomy on Dec 22nd. My inner ear package was removed on 28th For one day my hearing was fine. But from 29th, my ears feel clogged and the hearing is much worse than before. Does this mean the sugery failed?

U need to consult ua surgeon. There are many reasons for decreased hearing post stapedotomy, it doesn’t necessarily mean failed surgery. There may be some effusion in the middle ear, or may be due to eustachian tube dysfunction. Go and consult ua surgeon.

No. The ear canal would still have medicated gel foam in it. Give it few days to dissolve and then your hearing would be better
