Squint problem
My age is 22. I have little squint eye problem since childhood but when i check by doctor it give me prescription glasses in age 13 and exercise recommended but my squint no completely treat with glasses but when i use glass squint and diplopia will not see. My main question is it cause ambloypia in which age . I have read good with prescription glasses my one eye no. is 4.5 and other eye 6.5 but i see good with both eye when i use prescription glasses. My question is that ambloypia cause blindness in my case or not. Can in this age it cause blindness or not. Amblopia is in which age cause blindness or not? Can i am ok with that or not because i see good with prescription glasses. please say it cause blindness in later age or not?

Hello ,
Amblyopia is not a disease per se , that can occur at any time in life. In simple terms , it means underdevelopment of the eye due to light not reaching the retina (back part of the eye) in early childhood. The reasons could be many , one of them is strabismic amblyopia or squint.
- IT is good to know that you are using glasses and exercises , because that is the main non surgical treatment for squint. If your vision is good now , it cannot deteriorate by ablyopia anymore!
- keep wearing glasses , keep exercising as advised and you would be fine as far as your vision is concerned.
- if cosmesis is your concern , as in you want to get your eyes 'straight ' again , then a consultation is necessary.

Sir you are 22 years old now so your spectacle power must have stabilized by now. Vision development generally occurs till the age of around 7 years. There are different kinds of amblyopia but the one due to glasses is not going to trouble you at this age if you have a 6/6 vision in both eyes with your current spectacles. It won't cause blindness in future too.

For your squint issue you need a detailed examination and check whether you can go for any cosmetic corrective surgery for the deviation of eyes.
