Sore throat
I've been having sore throat very frequently like once every 3 months from past 4-5 years. This all started back when I used to wake up I use to continuously sneeze. Now I don't sneeze but my nose is always runny or there's stuff in it. Before sleep I have to clean it or use finger during sleep as it block airway. I have tried multiple doctor all is giving same medicine antibiotics and cold treatment medicines. Last ENT specialist gave me antibiotics for tonsilis, mouthwash, nose cleaner spray, furamist spray, acidity controlling medicine and syrups. Nothing is working and I still get sore throat every 2-3 month. I am tired of living on antibiotics. Please help

Care AI Shimmer
recurrent sore throat is likely due to underlying nasal allergy with post-nasal drip and possible acid reflux, rather than repeated bacterial infections. This explains why antibiotics are giving only temporary or no relief
Next Steps
Long-term control of allergy is important. ENT/ allergy specialist evaluation is advised for nasal examination, possible allergy testing, and optimisation of anti-allergy nasal sprays, saline washes, and reflux control rather than repeated antibiotics
Health Tips
Avoid unnecessary antibiotics. Maintain regular nasal saline wash, avoid dust/smoke/cold air, keep the nose clear before sleep

If it is occuring frequently you should get a skin prick allergy test done too to know the trigger allergens and accordingly you can cut down the exposure of allergens or consider allergy vaccines. And also get a ct/xray nose pns
