About 8–9 days ago, I noticed two white patches at the back of my throat. Three to four days later, I developed a sore throat that lasted for about 2–3 days.
I visited a general physician, who diagnosed me with a bacterial throat infection and stomatitis.
The sore throat has now resolved, but the two white patches are still present. They are not painful and do not cause any discomfort—they have simply remained there.
What could it be? I am really worried about mouth cancer.

Does not look clinically suspicious at present. If your sore throat has resolved , changes like these may persist for a few weeks. Just do warm saline gargles or chlorhexidine mouth gargles 2-3 times a day.
