Hi,
Do take paracetamol tablets for the fever for now ( maximum 3 grams per day).
You should definitely take some break from work and rest
Hydrate yourself.
2.5-3 Litres of water per day ( unless you have a disease for which you are asked to reduce water intake)
Do give me some details on the cough
- a wet cough with yellowish sputum might require antibiotics.
Otherwise it's more likely to be a viral infection and will settle on its own.
Steam inhalation helps with the cough
Those symptoms could be due to a viral fever.Take OTC antipyereic, antihistamines like cetrizine 10 mg once,if needed antiallergic eye drops. If your symptoms are not relieved, consult a physician in your area.
It looks like viral infection might be a flu , symptoms like sore eyes also detects conjunctivitis...
Hydration is important
Eye checkup
For persistent cough do salt water gargaling
Take NSAIDS if needed

**Specialist Doctor’s Response:**
**Re: Sore Eye, Cough, and Fever**
Dear Patient,
Your symptoms—sore eyes, cough, and intermittent fever—could indicate a viral infection (e.g., flu, adenovirus) or a mild bacterial infection. Here’s my advice:
1. **Immediate Care**:
- **Fever**: Paracetamol (as suggested) is safe (max 3g/day). Hydrate well.
- **Sore Eyes**: Use lubricating eye drops (avoid touching/rubbing). Cold compresses may help.
- **Cough**: Warm fluids (honey-lemon water) and rest. Avoid exposure to cold/contaminated water.
2. **Caution**:
- If fever persists >3 days, eyes develop discharge, or cough worsens (e.g., shortness of breath), seek urgent evaluation.
- *Taxim-O (antibiotic)* should only be taken if a bacterial infection is confirmed. Unnecessary antibiotics can cause resistance.
3. **Consultation Needed**:
- Your history of handling water raises concerns about possible infections (e.g., leptospirosis if water was contaminated). A physical exam and tests (if required) are essential.
For a thorough assessment, **please consult me**. You can reach me on WhatsApp at **Eight Zero Zero Nine Eight Two One Three Three Two** to discuss further.
