My six-year-old son has a temperature of a little over 102. It started last night and hasn't really gone down. No vomiting or diarrhea or major complaints or cause for concern?

I understand ur concern for ur child.
It is moderate degree of fever of short duration. &is apparently not having associated complication.
Please give him plenty of oral fluids &syrup paracetamol 12 ml every 4 hourly if his wt is about 20 kg &fever remains more than 101.avoid paracetamol if child is having fever less than100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Please document fever every 4to 6 hrly.
Please take to doctor if he develops fever more than 104,altered sensorium, rash, convulsions ,breathlessness or bloody diarrhoea.
