Soft diet after endoscopy
Can i eat idli or dosa with sambar on a soft diet. My doctor has advised me to follow a cold soft diet for a week. What else can i eat on a soft diet.

Hi Yes you can consume them at room temperature but not either hot or warm for some days... And make sure the sambar is not too spicy and hot or warm... and have it with a tsp of ghee if possible along with idly or dosa for some days.. You can also have gruels made with broken rice / broken wheat / Bansi ravva / and sooji too..and you can have them with buttermilk / curd mixed / or even with slightly cold milk . You can have buttermilk, coconut water, dal water or dal soups , barley water, saboodana water etc ... You can have any food except non veg for some time being if you are a non vegetarian by default...and consume only vegetarian foods in a very soft , mashed, gruel and soupy forms... You can also have home made soups, smoothies, juices etc also in room temperature or in slightly cold state. Thankyou Take care

Soft ,well cooked curd rice. Barley gruel. Idli,dosa soft with ghee,no chutney or sambar. Can use curds. Drink buttermilk,boiled cooled milk. Eat banana,,sapota,apple milk shake or apple stewed.,vegetable stew,vegetable cooked.,rawa plain upma,rawa ganji( gruel)

Soft diet is soft in consistency and its easy for the digestive system Please share details of the need for the doctor to advise  you on a soft diet then it will be easy to give a customized plan in the sense what are your familiar foods, your tolerance  any allergies and such factors

Gud morning,u can have veg oats puma with soft cooked plain Dal rather than sambar,soft cooked rawa idlis with low fat Luke warm milk adding sugar into it,brown bread with milk,daliya or oats or Ragi porridge,soft cooked Khichdi with double boiled veg stew etc,in soft diet.
