Hello, Venlafaxine after stopping usually cause withdrawal symptoms. Important thing is to differentiate withdrawal symptoms from reemergence of symptoms. Tapering is done to avoid withdrawal symptoms. Tapering is done either by reducing dosage gradually over days or by shifting to long acting SSRI which will be easier to taper off or by taking care of withdrawal symptoms symptomatically.
Next Steps
Consult your psychiatrist or you can consult me.

If venlafaxine is tapered off gradually, withdrawal symptoms may not be there. However if stopped abruptly, withdrawal symptoms occur.
