Small red patches near toenail area
I am suffering from ingrown toenail problem since last 6 years . Although I had a surgery some years before ,but still it recurred after some months .Since then ,I try to cut the side nail (as per a doctor's advice)so as to prevent pus formation. Now I notice some red patches (painless and not itchy)near the nail area .What kind of infection is this and what should be done to completely solve this nail problem ?

The rash on side of your nail is an infection. You can try some nail splinting techniques to prevent/improve  ingrown toe nail.
