Sleeping continuously for 8 hours
Hi mam/sir My baby is 2 months old and from last few days he is sleeping continuously for 8 to 9 hours night time ..day time he is drinking for every 2 hours that too 5 to 10 min...is this normal or should I wake him up at night... Baby is active Passing urine 4 or 5 times per hour Born weight 3.2 Current weight 15 days back 5 kg

No need to wake up the child. Child at this age can maintain body sugar throughout night so need to wake up the child. Also urine frequency is good and weight gain is also good so no need of extra feeds. Waking up the child now for feeds at night will later on lead to habit of waking up at night or disturbed sleep at night and that can continue till 2 years so better to continue the same and not disturb the child's sleep pattern.
