After two weeks you can slowly tapper it down and start other sleep inducing medications which are safer and less potent for habit formation. For 2weeks you can take clonazepam.

It is a benzodiazepine ideally to be used for a very short duration. How long has been the sleep disturbance, whether it is due to some stressor. Is it sifficutly falling asleep, maintaining sleep or early morning awakening. Consult an astute Psychiatrist and get proper remedy. Good luck
