Side effects of splint
Is there any side effect of using tmj splint for long time? What type of damage it can create? Can overuse of jaw muscles due to excessive teeth clenching damage my jaw joint or muscles that it can't be treated with splint and braces? Please help for me.

Everything in excess is harmful. Overload on the joint is a major damage. Yes it can be treated. Splints decrease the load and help in building muscle integrity
