Checked with dentist for cracking sound while chewing so prescribed to go for tmd splints, which will aling teeth correctly over time. As we were informed that it corrects/reduces headaches ,ear pain. Doest it also help to correct other body part postures like back ? What are other benefits related to nerves/other body part after treating tmd

They may help some patients with headache, jaw pain, or ear-related symptoms when these are TMD-associated. Regarding posture, there is recognized jaw-cervical interaction, and some studies suggest occlusal splints may influence posture; however, evidence remains limited and insufficient to claim reliable correction of back or whole-body posture. Management should be individualized and may require multidisciplinary assessment (orofacial pain, physiotherapy, posture/cervical evaluation).

Avoid Wide mouth opening / big yawns • Excessive mouth opening during eating (large burgers, sandwiches) • Chewing gum • Hard, chewy, crunchy foods — nuts, hard toast, tough meat, ice, sticky candies • Nail biting / pen chewing / lip biting • Clenching or grinding (daytime awareness if present) • Supporting chin on hand / prolonged poor neck posture • Sleeping face-down or pressure on jaw (if symptomatic) • Forcefully “testing” or repeatedly making the jaw click Recommend: • Soft diet temporarily during symptomatic phase • Controlled yawning — support chin / keep opening smaller • Warm compresses if muscular discomfort present • Gentle jaw exercises if indicated after examination • Good cervical/postural habits • Evaluation by orofacial pain/TMD specialist if persistent pain, locking, limited opening, or worsening symptoms.

No not really. But certain exercises would. Also a very detailed history about multiple aspects is to be examined. It would needed that you visit a orofacial pain speaciality , or prosthodontist or oral medicine for a deeper insight. As you very  young it is important to keep this under check

No . It only helps in relieving your muscle pain and jaw alignment.
Next Steps
Since your having TMD , don’t open your mouth wide it will increase the pain, try to avoid hard foods, and can do hot fomentation for few days.
