Side effect of Regestrone

I am using Regestrone tablets for heavy bleeding menstruation and irregular cycles. I am 17 year old female and I have gained weight over the past few months. Is it because of regestrone tablets? Are there tablets with lesser side effect?

Hello. Regesterone can cause weight gain. Better option for you will be low dose OC pills. It will have similar effect but lesser side effects
