Sickle cell disease is inherited genetically and both male and female children are affected equally. Children born from these patients will obviously be affected and if the partner to whom the patient will get married is normal then there are 50 percent chances of their children getting affected .Life expectancy of male patients is estimated upto 60 years according to NIH
