COVID VACCINE and Sickel cell patient
Is there any problem to take covid vaccine for sickel cell patient and also in covid shield there is problem of blood cloting in minor cases and same in sickel cell so is this any side effect of perticular any vaccine.

Covishield has been reported to cause blood clots. However in India (ministry of health) has reported 0.6 cases per 1 million population.
Hence it is a low risk. More data is yet to be available on it.
Sickle cell pt both AS and SS can take the vaccine.
Maintain adequate hydration and take regular medication(hydroxyurea, folic acid)
To prevent the sickling crises.
