Shortness of breath while sleeping
While at sleep especially when trying to get into deep sleep I am feeling shortness of breath almost like getting an attack and I suddenly wakeup. This is causing sleep disturbances and worrying me. Not getting sufficient sleep at night. I don't have any other symptoms, except slight nasal congestion. Pls suggest.

probably you are suffering from obstructive sleep apnea,common in obesse people. and such episodes are nothing but apnea episodes. need to get some test including a sleep test to confirm it.and weight loss is advisable for the same. take care!

Hello, More information is needed regarding the condition to get to a correct diagnosis, if you have breathlessness only when lying down and is associated with burning chest pain ,it could be an acidity problem. But if you have any previous  heart disease, we have to think about that too. If none of these then it could be a sleep disorder or sleep apnea.
