Sharp and shooting lower back pain
4 and a half month pregnant and I am experiencing sudden sharp lower back pain right in the middle point of lower back. The pain so intense that I can't sit or stand straight. Can't walk without support. Even while sleeping if I try to move an inch I feel a shooting pain in my back and wake up because of that. Is it back strain or what? And what medication should I take to ease it.

Back pain this intense in pregnancy needs attention. Not being able to sit, stand or move without a shooting pain goes beyond usual pregnancy strain.
Next Steps
Please get examined in person soon so your obstetrician can check for nerve involvement and suggest pregnancy-safe pain relief.
Health Tips
Please don't start any pain medication on your own, some options aren't safe in pregnancy.
