Hlo dr, I have query regarding sharkoferrol syrup .. Brought this syrup in 2024 November .. I have opened this and kept like that but it's expiry is in 2026 can I take now.. Or not... How many months opening it safe to consume.. Because expiry toh 2026 tak h

After opening the bottle u have to consume within 30 days, kabhi kabhi bottles pr likha hota hai ki 30 din me use kare bottle kholne ke baad
Aur iske reasons bhi hain kyu aisa karte...
1st Preservatives limited hote hain: Syrups me bacteria ya fungus ko rokne ke liye preservatives daale jaate hain, par wo utne strong nahi hote jitne injectable drugs me hote hain. Bottle khulne ke baad hawa aur spoon ke contact se microorganisms aa sakte hain.
2nd Oxidation / chemical change: Iron aur folic acid light aur oxygen se react karne lagte hain. Time ke sath taste, colour, ya potency (effectiveness) kam ho sakti hai.
3rd Dose ki safety: Agar formulation degrade ho gayi to stomach upset ya efficacy ka issue ho sakta hai.

For syrup I can say once it open it might get oxidised or may kept in light , keeping open the for 2 year I recommend not safe but new one
