Is it normal for sgot, sgpt and crp levels to increase during throat infection. My wife is having fever since last 2 days. Her dengue test came our negative. However the below values are elevated
SGOT 44
SGPT 45
CRP 28.3
ESR 27
She is taking antibiotics since yesterday after consulting a general physician.
Her platelets have also been reduced to 1.84 lakhs from 2.46 lakhs in 2 days of fever

It is not normal for SGOT, SGPT and CRP to rise during throat infection but it is also not normal to get these investigations done for a simple case of throat infection.
