Severe Knee pain
I having severe knee pain for last one year. Doctors got both the knee hint x rayed and diagnosed osteoarthritis. They said that my cartilage has been dried and suggested me for knee replacement surgery. Now my query is that is it possible to diagnose the spoilage of cartilage from just taking an x Ray. Kindly suggest me the further checks so that I may plan my treatment accordingly. Also advise me if knee surgery is the only option I am left with. How is the life after knee replacement surgery. Am I able to move or bend my leg normally after the surgery.

Hi Sir ! we need to see your clinical condition. Your dependence on analgesic use, the status of your knees on a standing Xray. An xray is the only modality which makes us decide the protocol that needs to be followed. you donot need any other investigations to diagnose the same. Please feel free to consult us and do read my health feed on Osteo-Arthitis all you need to know. You shall find your answers. As far as getting back is concerned, 6 weeks you ll just be fine.
