Severe knee pain

Asked for Female, 22 Years

Here lately I have had issues with my knees locking up, I cry every time I try to stand up and it takes multiple attempts to stand and when I do there is a popping noise, knees are swollen.And the pain is excruciating in the morning.It hurts to stand and to sit. Could it be arthritis? I do have a exstensive family history of arthritis as well.

Did you injure your knee anytime ? If the pain is without any knee injury and there is locking sensation in the knee,it could be a sign of early degenerative changes in the knee joint.You can get an X-ray done for your knee to rule out arthritis.Since you are having early morning pain it means there is inflammation in the joint.
