• Likely moderate to severe chickenpox (varicella infection) • Widespread lesions + body pain + fatigue indicate active viral phase • Increasing fluid-filled blisters is typical progression Next steps • Apply calamine lotion multiple times daily • Ensure adequate hydration, rest, soft diet Helpful tips / Words of caution • Do NOT scratch → risk of scarring & infection • Avoid close contact (highly contagious) till all lesions crust • Keep nails short, wear loose cotton clothes • Daily lukewarm baths can help soothe skin • Seek urgent care if high persistent fever, breathing difficulty, confusion, vomiting, or lesions in eyes/mouth/genitals

Hi there .. Chicken Pox is a viral disease that needs to be tackled aggressively when it appears in adults to limit the damage and cause as less scarring as possible especially to the head and neck region. The patient should be isolated for at least a week to avoid spread and a good protein rich diet , hydration and bed rest are important to promote a quick recovery. Treatment with antiviral tablets is useful if begun early in the course of the disease and leads to a better prognosis.
