Serum Creatinine 2.1 and Urine infection
Hi Sir/Madam, My grandmother is admitted to hospital with Creatinine 2.1 and also having urine infection. She is also diabetic. Will this leads to dialysis or there is any chance of bringing down Creatinine levels. If in case it leads to dialysis how many days we should continue.please help.

Firstly we need to know the badeline creatinine ( lowest level of creatinine in recent time). UTI can also lead to raised creatinine. At 2.1 dialysis is not required. Need to be monitored regularly Once infection is treated  creatinine may come down if baseline was normal.
