Sensitive & pulling feel in anal region!
Hi! I have been facing a very mild nerve pulling like sensation in left side anal passage when I feel dehydrated or straining while pooping and very occasionally very mild burning like sensation in left skin region of anal hole! And the nerve pulling like sensation sometimes feels like minimally radiating slightly in glutes and hamstrings and rarely to the nerve in my penis ! And also sometimes while masturbating I feel mild discomfort in my anal region that also rarely ! No other symptoms other than this like sharp pain or while pooping! What could be the issue I'm facing?

The mild pulling and tingling sensation in the anal region that occasionally radiates to the glutes, hamstrings, and genital area is likely related to irritation of the nerves supplying the pelvic floor — particularly the pudendal nerve, which supplies sensation to the anal, perineal, and genital areas. This kind of discomfort is commonly aggravated by dehydration, straining during bowel movements, and prolonged sitting, all of which increase pressure on the pelvic nerves and muscles. Staying well hydrated, avoiding straining, and eating a high-fiber diet to keep stools soft can help significantly reduce these episodes.
Next Steps
If symptoms persist or worsen, please consult a physician who can evaluate further and refer you appropriately. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.

There is nothing to worry,  avoid straining while passing stool,  by taking high fiber diet, drink more water.Rest of the pain described is due to muscle  strain and or nerve irritation. Take b.complex supplements for some days.

Hi, The mild pulling and burning sensation in the anal area, with straining or dehydration, is due to muscle tension or minor nerve irritation there. It’s not serious. If it continues or worsens, a consultation would help clarify this.

This is commonly due to constipation/straining, mild anal fissure, piles, or muscle spasm. Do next: Drink more water, take high-fiber diet, avoid straining, don’t sit long on toilet, and take warm sitz bath 10–15 min. Consult a surgeon/doctor if bleeding, swelling, severe pain, discharge, fever, or symptoms continue more than 1–2 weeks.

Based on your description, the symptoms appear mild and intermittent, occurring mainly during dehydration, straining during bowel movements, or occasionally during masturbation. This pattern is less suggestive of a serious anorectal condition and may be related to: Mild irritation of the anal canal or perianal skin Pelvic floor muscle strain/spasm Constipation-related stretching of tissues and nerves Occasionally, irritation of nerves in the pelvic/perineal region can cause sensations radiating to the buttock, hamstring, or genital area A few questions: Do you have constipation or hard stools frequently? Any bleeding, swelling, itching, discharge, or lump near the anus? Do symptoms worsen after prolonged sitting? Any low back pain or history of heavy weight lifting?
Next Steps
✔ Maintain good hydration ✔ Avoid straining during bowel movements ✔ Increase dietary fiber (fruits, vegetables, whole grains) ✔ Avoid prolonged sitting on the toilet ✔ Warm sitz baths for 10–15 minutes may help if there is local irritation
Health Tips
Since the symptoms have been persistent, an in-person examination by a General Surgeon/Proctologist can help rule out a small fissure, hemorrhoid, or pelvic floor issue that may not be apparent otherwise. Seek prompt evaluation if you develop bleeding, severe pain, numbness, weakness in the legs, or worsening symptoms.
