I broke my tibia and fibula in a road accident 2.5 months ago.
Kindly suggest if the progress is satisfactory or I should get the upper screw removed to bridge the gap in tibia

In your case, both screws have to removed for the effect you are talking about. That could lead to rotational instability if the callus is not strong enough. Take medications for accelerating the fracture healing and consult your doctor for the pros and cons of the procedure.
