My father, 72-year-old, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in June 2021. His histopathology reports showed:
- Acinar adenocarcinoma of prostate
- Gleason score 7 (4+3)
- Grade group 3
- Perineural invasion
- Approximately 30-35% involvement of prostatic tissue
He initially underwent surgery and hormone therapy which was effective (PSA dropped significantly), but we had to discontinue due to severe side effects that left him bedridden and unable to stand. Recent testing shows his PSA has risen to 11.89.
We are seeking a second opinion on alternative treatment options that might be effective while causing fewer debilitating side effects. I can provide all medical records, including the original histopathology reports from multiple centers, upon request.
Thank you for your consideration. We would greatly appreciate your guidance on the best path forward.

Will need previous treatment details for better consultation.
However side-effects of hormone therapy only are not that severe to make a patient bedridden.
Prostate cancer very commonly spreads to bone and his inability to walk is mostly due to spread of disease to vertebrae.
Get a PSMA PETCT scan and recent serum PSA. Alternate is CEMRI Screening whole spine.
